WHAT IS 8BY8?

We are a non-profit organization dedicated to stopping hate against Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities through voter registration and turnout. Historically, Asian Americans have one of the lowest voter turnout rates in the country—if we are going to stop Asian hate, this needs to change.

8by8 is committed to working with community leaders, elected officials, businesses, and other organizations to address this issue. We need your help to do it—whether that means signing up as a volunteer, or taking the 8by8 Challenge and encouraging 8 of your friends to register to vote in 8 days.

Representation matters. We want to uplift AAPI voices  and close the voter registration gap. With the 8by8 challenge, we aim to increase voter registration among the AAPI community  and encourage political involvement to make meaningful social change.

GET INVOLVED

8by8 is entirely volunteer-run, and we're always looking for new, passionate volunteers to join our team. All 8by8 volunteers will receive:

  • Hands-on work experience in an area of their choosing

  • Signed community service/volunteer hours

  • A reference for future volunteer/work opportunities

  • The chance to help a great cause and make an impact in your community
