Digital Marketing Lead

8by8 is looking for a volunteer Digital Marketing Lead to lead our volunteer team to design, refine, and execute a marketing strategy for our upcoming launch. We are a volunteer-run nonprofit working to #StopAsianHate at the ballot box, by increasing historically low voter registration and political participation in our Asian communities. Our "8by8 challenge" app will use social engagement and viral marketing to spread the message of voter registration; challengers will invite 8 of their friends to register to vote in 8 days, providing a fun and engaging way to register new voters.


To ensure the successful launch of our app and long term growth of the organization through sustainable voter engagement and turnout, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced marketing professional to advise/consult our volunteer team. The role will focus on big-picture strategy and task delegation, with the execution being carried out by our volunteer team.


You will:


  • Mobilize a team of volunteers to plan, execute, and drive creative direction for all web, SEO/SEM, email, and social media campaigns.

  • Design, build, and maintain our social media presence.

  • Measure performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals.

  • Identify trends and optimize spend and performance based on the insights.

  • Identify critical conversion points and drop off points, and optimize user funnels.

  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to improve the end-to-end customer experience.

  • Collaborate with sponsor partners to execute joint marketing campaigns.


You are:


  • Self-motivated and customer-focused

  • Proficient in marketing research and statistical analysis

  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate

  • A capable leader with strong delegation and management skills
